Intuition Card Workshop: Ancestral Wisdom

  • Unit 3A 1444 Dupont Street Toronto, ON Canada (map)

“I go forth alone, and stand as ten thousand.” -Maya Angelou

We carry the wisdom of our ancestors in our bones. Whether we know it or not, their experiences - including traumas and blessings - shape our behaviours, fears, and longings.

Consciously tapping into this connection can help us access additional intuitive guidance, wisdom and support on our journeys.

Whether you already feel a connection to your ancestors or are hoping to develop one, in this workshop we will connect to the ancestral wisdom we each carry within and create a series of personal intuition cards that bring that wisdom into our daily lives.

In this workshop we will:

  • Collectively build a group altar offering gratitude to our ancestors

  • Be guided through a meditation to connect with your loving and well ancestors as a source of wisdom

  • Create a series of intuition cards capturing guidance or messages from our ancestors

  • Share our cards and discuss what emerged in the creative process

All materials will be provided, but you are invited to bring any personally significant collaging materials such as photos, texts, and meaningful symbols to weave into your cards.

This workshop is open to all who wish to learn and connect to the wisdom within. No prior experience with ancestral work or genealogical research is needed to participate, just an open mind and heart. Ancestors can be biological or chosen, such as cultural or historic figures who have influenced your life deeply.

Note that this workshop is not an ancestral healing session. For more information on ancestral healing, or to find a qualified practitioner, check out https://ancestralmedicine.org/
